The Sir James Lecture Series

The British School of Milan is delighted to launch The Sir James Lecture Series. Leading figures from the world of sport, arts, society will be presenting thought-provoking essays on a range of topics. The lectures will be open to all members of the school community and the English-speaking community in Milan cementing BSM's status as a key cultural hub in the city. 

The Sir James Lecture Series is designed to give the BSM Community and Sixth Form students opportunities to hear from a panoply of engaging and dynamic voices from business, academia, and the world beyond school. It aims to foster interdisciplinary curiosity, open windows to unexpected and diverse career opportunities, and act as a rich seam of academic enrichment. 

Throughout the year, students, staff and parents listen to a short lecture from visiting speakers and are then invited to ask questions and to engage in stimulating discussion and debate. Speakers who have taken part in the programme are listed below.
