Primary

The Primary School provides a safe, stimulating, purposeful environment in which your children can flourish and excel.  

The Primary School comprises:

• Foundation Stage (Nursery and Reception) - Ages 3 and 4
• Key Stage 1 (Years 1 and 2) - Ages 5 and 6
• Key Stage 2 (Years 3, 4, 5 and 6) - Ages 7 - 10

The caring atmosphere in the Primary School ensures that children develop a confident approach to learning that will help them grow as individuals throughout their lives.  Enthusiasm, curiosity and shared values are part of the Primary School way of life. 

English is the language of the School even though children come from many different parts of the world.  New pupils are welcomed warmly, settle in quickly and are eager to participate in all activities. 

The curriculum, which is based on the English National Curriculum, is engaging, challenging and thought provoking, allowing scope for children to achieve their full potential.  

Assemblies give the children a sense of being part of a community and provide them with occasions to come together and develop a sense of responsibility for others. Values and ideas are explored through stories, music, drama and quiet reflection.

Relationships between staff and pupils are excellent with children receiving support and guidance whenever necessary. Great emphasis is placed on the pupils’ personal development and the pastoral care is of the highest quality.  The partnership between staff and parents is recognised as playing a key role in each child’s learning development.
