Early Years
Early Years Foundation Stage (Kindergarten - British Asilo) is for children aged 3 - 5.
Each child is unique and in the Foundation Stage we provide a challenging, stimulating and supportive environment in which each child can achieve his/her full potential.
Our curriculum will enable your child to become an independent and active learner.
Nursery (Kindergarten - Asilo) is the first class of Foundation Stage and the children progress to Reception the following year.
Through a play-based curriculum children are encouraged to develop positive relationships with adults and peers alike. Children are encouraged to behave responsibly and foster respect for each other and their learning environment.
We build the foundations of life-long learning by encouraging children to think and cultivate their own ideas in safe surroundings. Our activities are planned carefully and children are supported by both the teachers and teaching assistants in order to personalise their learning. Children will grow in confidence as they make discoveries about the world around them.
Settling In
Each child is settled into the environment at a pace which suits him or her. Children are encouraged to join in, make friends and have a go! They are supported every step of the way by an adult who watches out for their every need.
Trips
In the EYFS we undertake numerous trips to support our learning throughout the school year. These include park trips to support our Forest School initiative, trips to museums, farms, castles, aquariums and even a day in the mountains to explore the snow. We also visit a residential home for the elderly to carry out some craft activities.
